Dr David Summers

Fisheries Director

David has 25 years experience in the field of salmon and freshwater fisheries research and management. He initially studied with the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries for Scotland at their North Esk research station at Montrose, then spent six years working in the south of England for the Game Conservancy Trust's fisheries team. He then became the manager of the Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board in 1999 and continues to lead the team protecting and improving the Tay's salmon fisheries.

 

   
       
 

Lorna Birse-Stewart

Development Manager

Brought up in Perthshire and a graduate of Aberdeen University, Lorna has an extensive background in Sales and Marketing  with 10 years in senior retail management and over 20 years experience of business development and sales and marketing within the rural sports industry and the charitable sector.  Lorna joined the River Tay team  in January 2009 and retains a specific remit for the work of the Tay Foundation, the charity for the River Tay, leading on income generation for projects, education and training and the provision of a communications resource.
